The Brief After we recently installed Mr & Mrs Mcdaid's beautiful new Kitchen, they revisited our Studio. This time it was the turn of their bathroom. They were keen to get rid of their coloured suite and matching pink and white wall tiles, making way for a new contemporary bathroom! The couple had always dreamed of having a separate showering area within their bathroom and they thought they would need to make structural changes to allow this, you can imagine their delight when we proposed the new layout with both a bath and separate showering area and all original walls intact and only a slight repositioning of the door opening! Mr & Mrs Mcdaid wanted to create a feature with their newly positioned bath and so we suggested using a feature strip with the tiles and also using some feature lighting along the bottom of the tiled bath panel - they loved the idea! Mrs Mcdaid wanted to include a shower mixer bath tap to give the flexibility for rinsing her hair whilst using the bath and also to make cleaning and rinsing the bath extra easy! When it came to the other tiling we also suggested using the same black feature tile within the full enclosure to really connect the 2 washing areas and tie the full look together. As we had used quite a lot of the black wall tiles we suggested contrasting with a white floor tile completely lifting the look and providing a bright and airy feel. Mr & Mrs Mcdaid wanted to incorporate a little bit of storage within the new design and they fell in love with our wall hung Bali drawer unit. This bathroom is almost unrecognisable and is a complete hit with Mr & Mrs Mcdaid and their friends and family. Maybe we will welcome this couple to our studio for a third time.
